The Challenge:  Seventy five years ago, these Art Deco sconces were at the entrance to the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium.  Many years later, these were removed and replaced with "modern" fixtures were installed.  Unfortunately the replacement fixtures were inadequate for the task and they fell into disrepair.  As refurbishing funds became available, the original fixtures were remembered.  Our challenge was to return the "units" to their original servicable condition.  Unfortunately, not all the components survived over the years.

The Solution:  Our solution was to renovate as much of the original units as possible and then to fabricate any missing items, using the original units as patterns.  One completely new fixture was also required.  The finished unit is 4' tall with 10" glass diffusers.  The lamping is incandescent.
